The CHIQ ETF is the Global X MSCI China Consumer Discretionary ETF. It's an exchange-traded fund that aims to invest in large and mid-capitalization segments of the MSCI China Index, specifically focusing on companies classified within the Consumer Discretionary Sector.

  • Consumer Discretionary Sector: This sector includes companies that produce non-essential goods and services, meaning consumers can choose to buy them when they have disposable income. Examples include automobiles, apparel, entertainment, hotels, restaurants, and retail.

  • China Exposure: The ETF provides targeted exposure to the Chinese economy, focusing on the consumer discretionary segment. This is significant because China has a large and growing middle class, which can drive demand for these types of goods and services.

The development of a multi-year base has piqued our interest and alerts us to get ready for a potential base breakout above $24.80.
