The iShares U.S. Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF, ticker symbol IEO, is an exchange-traded fund designed to provide investors with targeted exposure to the domestic energy sector. Specifically, the fund seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of U.S. equities in the oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) industry. This allows investors to gain access to a portfolio of companies primarily involved in the upstream operations of the oil and gas industry, which includes finding and extracting crude oil and natural gas.
