Diversified Miners present a Long Term Neutral, Medium Term Weak, and Short Term Oversold posture. The narrative has violently shifted since August. Once a surging leader, the sector has seen its Long-Term trend downgraded to Neutral and its Medium-Term trend collapse to Weak. Short-term momentum has plummeted into Oversold territory, reflecting intense distribution.

Banks are showing a Long Term Strong, Medium Term Strong, and Short Term High Bullish/Approaching Overbought posture. This is a spectacular turnaround. From severe short-term exhaustion in August, Banks have steadily rebuilt their structural profile, culminating in a dominant Strong/Strong/High Bullish posture, signaling aggressive institutional accumulation.

Insurers currently sit at a Long Term Neutral, Medium Term Strong, and Short Term Overbought posture. Mirroring the Banks, Insurers have finally shaken off their prolonged weakness. The Medium-Term trend has solidly locked into a Strong posture, while the Short-Term buying pressure has been so intense it has pushed into Overbought territory.

Gold Miners remain at a Long Term Neutral, Medium Term Weak, and Short Term High Bearish/Approaching Oversold posture. The former undisputed market leader of August has completely collapsed. The robust upward trajectory has been destroyed, with Medium-Term momentum failing and Short-Term momentum plunging into High Bearish territory as investors aggressively rotate out of the sector.

Platinum Miners exhibit a Long Term Neutral, Medium Term Weak, and Short Term High Bearish/Approaching Oversold posture. Following the exact same disastrous trajectory as Gold Miners, Platinum has lost all of its previous structural upgrades. The sector is now facing sustained selling pressure and a severe breakdown in relative performance.

Consumer Staples hold a Long Term Neutral, Medium Term High Bullish/Approaching Overbought, and Short Term High Bullish/Approaching Overbought posture. The sector has successfully broken out of its structural downtrend. Persistent short-term rallies have finally translated into a massive Medium-Term upgrade, making this one of the most extended and actively bought sectors in the current market.

Consumer Discretionary reflects a Long Term Weak, Medium Term Strong, and Short Term Strong posture. The environment has become significantly more hospitable. While still carrying the scars of a Weak Long-Term trend, the Medium and Short-Term timeframes have locked into a Strong posture, indicating a powerful counter-trend recovery rally is well underway.

Hospitals display a Long Term Neutral, Medium Term Strong, and Short Term Strong posture. The sector has found definitive direction. After drifting aimlessly in August, sustained buying throughout September and October has established robust Strong momentum in both the Short and Medium term, making it a reliable domestic leadership pocket.

Coal Miners have risen to a Long Term Strong, Medium Term Strong, and Short Term High Bullish/Approaching Overbought posture. Breaking out of its previous sideways consolidation, Coal has established itself as a stealth leader. The long and medium-term structural trends have firmly shifted to Strong, supported by extreme short-term buying interest.

Telecoms maintain a Long Term Strong, Medium Term Strong, and Short Term Overbought posture. The severe medium-term breakdown of late August proved to be a false flag. The sector has since orchestrated a massive recovery, upgrading to Strong on the higher timeframes and pushing into Overbought extremes in the short term.

Paper & Pulp sits at a Long Term Weak, Medium Term Neutral, and Short Term Neutral posture. The sector remains a non-participant in the broader market rotation. It continues to languish with long-term structural damage and entirely Neutral momentum across the shorter timeframes, lacking any catalyst to attract capital.

Chemicals carry a Long Term High Bullish/Approaching Overbought, Medium Term Overbought, and Short Term High Bullish/Approaching Overbought posture. This is arguably the most stretched and aggressively bought sector on the JSE right now. It has seen sequential upgrades across all timeframes, pushing into extreme Overbought/High Bullish readings everywhere.

Luxury Goods show a Long Term Neutral, Medium Term Neutral, and Short Term Strong posture. The sector is beginning to wake up from its holding pattern. While the longer-term structural trends remain Neutral and uncommitted, a recent burst of Short-Term Strong momentum suggests early signs of renewed buyer interest.
