The following monthly chart highlights global energy shares (IXC ETF) relative to the All Country World Equity Index (ACWI). What's noticeable here is the sector having retreated to it's 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level, having held there for the past four (4) months. With expectations and valuations for the sector being low, upticks in global energy prices could act as a boost. On this basis, investors should consider some allocation to the sector.
