Closed below the 8-day EMA for the first time since 04 March. Both the 21-day EMA and 50-day EMA continues to trend higher while the 21-day EMA is above the 50-day EMA (positive). On an intraday basis, my best probability range for buyers to step in is at the 21-day EMA. Say, 11570c to 11665c. These levels are subject to change based on the subsequent price action and news flow. Ultra Short Term: The 21-day EMA (at or just below) is a range to watch. Short Term: The 50-day EMA/75-day EMA is a level of interest should a deeper pullback occur. Preferred Strategies & Setups To Generate Cash Flow (Click To Enlarge) Lester Davids Analyst: Unum Capital

- Getting Paid With Thungela Resources
If You Bought Thungela Resources, Here's How Much Profit You Would Have Made Extreme price movements always catch our attention. They're either signaling risk or opportunity. As we continuously monitor the market for trading opportunities (as well to communicate key info), we run shares through the price action guide to assess reward-to-risk and uncover clues for the next potential move. Take Thungela Resources for example. The aggressive sell-off has been noticeable for several days, with the share heading toward the psychological R100 level. Just after midday (12h19), at a price of 9979c, we 'took the temperature' by inserting the numbers into the model. The result? A 'buy reading' on both the short term and medium term time frame. Within the span of 4 1/2 hours, the share rallied from 9979c to a high of 10407c. Think about this, if you bought 500 shares between say, 9979c and 10000c and sold them later in the afternoon at a higher price between 10350c and 10400c (accounting for a 370c gain per share), you would have made a profit of R1850 before costs. That's R1850 in just over 4 hours! For some traders, R1850 is 'nothing' . For others, R1850 is a contribution to a deposit on ...... Well done to clients who may have recognized this move and participated. - JSE Market Breadth: Key Takeaways (Daily Time Frame)
Analyst's Disclosure: This graphic was summarize using an A.I tool. Market Breadth Analysis of JSE Mid & Large Caps (April 1, 2025) The graphic depicts the short-term trend rating of the 100 constituents of the JSE Mid & Large Caps index. It categorizes these stocks into seven distinct trend categories, providing insights into the overall market sentiment and potential future movements. Key Observations: Neutrality Dominates: The largest group of constituents (34 out of 100) are classified as "Neutral." This suggests a lack of strong directional conviction in the market, with a significant portion of stocks showing neither bullish nor bearish trends. Bearish Sentiment Prevails: When we combine the "Weak," "High Bearish Momentum/Approaching Oversold," and "Oversold" categories, we find a total of 32 stocks exhibiting bearish trends. This indicates that a substantial portion of the market is experiencing downward pressure. Bullish Sentiment is Present but Not Dominant: The "Strong," "High Bullish Momentum/Approaching Overbought," and "Overbought" categories together account for 12 stocks showing bullish trends. This may represent a potentially fragile bullish sentiment. Oversold and Overbought Extremes are Limited: Only 1 stock is classified as "Oversold" and 6 as "Overbought." This suggests that while there are pockets of extreme price movements, they are not widespread. Interpretation of Market Conditions: The market appears to be in a state of indecision or consolidation , with a high degree of neutrality. While there is a notable presence of bullish sentiment, it's nearly matched by bearish sentiment, indicating a lack of clear market direction. Potential Implications: Increased Volatility: The balance between bullish and bearish forces, coupled with the high level of neutrality, could lead to increased volatility in the short term. Potential for Trend Reversal: The significant number of stocks exhibiting bearish momentum suggests a potential for a broader market correction if the bearish sentiment intensifies. Selective Stock Picking: In a market with mixed signals, careful stock selection becomes crucial. Identifying stocks with strong fundamentals and positive catalysts, regardless of the overall market trend, could be a successful strategy. Monitoring for Breakouts: The high number of neutral stocks suggests that breakouts in either direction could lead to significant price movements. Traders should closely monitor these stocks for potential opportunities. Overall, the data suggests a cautious outlook for the JSE Mid & Large Caps index in the short term. The market is not clearly bullish or bearish, and traders should be prepared for potential volatility and price swings. Lester Davids Analyst: Unum Capital
